What happened to Prosper.com?

When will they be done with their registration period? They are not accepting new lenders and I'm not sure if they are letting people borrow money now. I know they are doing this so they can sell loans to the secondary market, but I dont get why they have to close up shop for a while. Anyone know when they started this or will complete it? They said it "could" take several months, but I dont know when they started the process as i havent been on prosper for a few months.
