Can you love someone too much?

i have been with my bf for almost five years. i love him very much. i show him in every way i know he loves me but i feel he doesn't love me as much as i love him. he shows me in some ways but i go that extra mile where he doesn't. he has been gone since saturday and we talk a lot on the phone but when i say i miss you he says i've only been gone since saturday which makes me feel he doesn't miss me. when i told him how that made me feel he said he just doesn't like to think about it because he will really start to miss me too much sounds like bull to me. should i just stop worrying so much or should i rethink our relationship?
