What is this, white spots on tip of tongue and on lower gums?

I went to the dentist about 2 weeks ago to get temporary crown put on and he prescribed me with oral rinse to make sure my gums were healthy for my new crown. I went back to the dentist just five days ago to get my permanent crown on and he also did a filling. Everything seemed to be fine. I do have some cold symptoms- stuffy nose, cough but I also noticed my gums really low down are sore and red and today they ave white spots on them and I also have the white spots on the tip of my tongue, they feel like mini canker sores. I don't know if I am having a allergic reaction to te rinse stuff or if I have an infection or if it is just due to being sick, please help??
