I have to make a tough choice! What are your thoughts on this?

Okay right now i'm in 9th grade its mid year. I was new to this cl so i knew nobody coming here. All my good friends were in my old town. But we are moving again this summer... my mom said we are either moving to our old town or moving, but staying in this town. But the thing is... i'd be SO HAPPY to be with my good friends in school i miss seeing them every day! But at my new school, i'm like actually getting popular. If i go back to my old town, it's hard to "move uo" once you've known the same people for so long. What do you think what's the better choice? Good friends or popularity? And i do see my friends on weekends so its not like i dont see them. And i miss my BESTEST BEST FRIEND the most!!!!!!!! Please help? my mom asked me what i wanted to do.
