Hamster Mites Question?

Well i found out that my hamster had mites. (idk how she got them) Well i disinfected the cage for like three hours. I then gave her flea and tick spray which is wat the vet told me 2 use. It worked but there is still some on her head but i cant get them because i would spray it into her eyes. How should i get it on with out hurting her?
